The High Court has asked why it would not order a probe against Rajshahi University vice-chancellor, pro-vice chancellor, registrar and treasurer over financial irregularities including while procuring lands.

The bench of justices Naima Haider and Abu Taher Md Saifur Rahman issued the rule on Tuesday after initial hearing of a petition.
The home secretary, Anti Corruption Commission chief, inspector general of police and others concerned have been told to respond within four weeks.
On Sunday, one Asaduzzaman, a Rajshahi University student, filed the petition attaching several media reports on financial irregularities over procuring land.
