She was delivering her speech at a May Day programme organised by the labour ministry at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre on Tuesday.

“I want good relations between our workers and owners.

“Anarchy following any instigation from outside – this must never happen. I am alerting you all to this,” she added.

The prime minister urged the workers to take care of the workplace and inform her whenever they face problems.

“I am here to work for your fortune, not mine. So I will take care of any problem you face,” she said.

She also asked the factory owners to be fair to the workers.
“Please keep in mind that you, your families are doing well because the workers are sweating to produce the goods for you.”
State Minister for Labour and Employment Mujibul Haque presided over the programme. Former state minister for labour Monnujan Sufian also spoke.
The prime minister distributed financial aid among the families of workers who died at workplace and brilliant children of the workers.
