Naogaon, Sept 11 (BDNEWS) – The government on Sunday filed a petition in the court refuting the police final report that acquitted Dr Galib and his seven accomplices in the bomb attack on Porsha Brac office in Naogaon.
A no confidence petition was submitted to a court Sunday against the final report that had acquitted eight accused including Dr. Galib of launching a bomb attack on Porsha Brac office at Naogaon.
Besides, public prosecutor (PP) Zainal Abedin Mintu demanded reinvestigation into the case on behalf of the government.
Naogaon special tribunal fixed Sunday as the date of hearing on the final police report in the case filed for bomb attack on the Porsha Brac office but the accused including Ahle Hadith Andolan Bangladesh (AHAB) amir Dr Asadullah Al Galib could not be produced before the court due to security reasons.
Defence lawyers Abu Belal Hossain, AZM Rafiqul Alam and Sazzad Hossain demanded release of their clients claiming them innocents.
Additional judge of the court of the special tribunal Abdul Hakim Mondal did not pass any order and told lawyers of both sides the rehearing will be held after two months.
