They were given their new rank badges in the Prime Minister's Office on Sunday, Inter Service Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) said in a news release.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is in-charge of the defence ministry, was present when her Security Affairs Adviser Maj Gen (rtd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique and Acting army chief Lt Gen Anwar Hussain pinned the badges on Habib and Esrar.

Her Political Adviser HT Imam, defence ministry's Senior Secretary Kazi Habibul Awal, Principal Staff Officer of Armed Forces Division Lt Gen M Mainul Islam and senior officials of the Prime Minister's Office were present.
After being assigned the rank badge, a Navy contingent offered a guard of honour to Admiral Habib at the Naval Headquarters, the ISPR said in the release.
