Dhaka, May 11 (bdnews24.com)—A lawyer has for the first time sought bail for a BDR man in the case over Feb 25 mutiny by borders guards in Dhaka.
Abdullah Al Mamun appeared before Dhaka Metropolitan Session Judge's Court after being denied bail by Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate's Court.
The judge ANM Bashir Ullah set May 18 for hearing. Mamun hails from Kadir Hanif village of Noakhali .
"Mamun was produced before the court on March 12 , six days into his arrest despite no involvement of his in the BDR mutiny," said his lawyer Emdadul Haq.
Mamun reported back to his work place on Mar 1 following government directive. He was put on 7 days' remand on Mar 18 for questioning.
