Diplomat Abdul Muhith appointed Bangladesh high commissioner to UK

The BCS 11th-batch officer has previously served as Bangladesh’s permanent representative to the UN

Diplomat Muhammad Abdul Muhith, a former head of the Foreign Service Academy, is set to become Bangladesh’s new high commissioner to London.

On Monday, the public administration ministry issued a notification appointing him to the post on a two-year contractual term.

A BCS 11th-batch officer, Muhith served as Bangladesh’s permanent representative to the United Nations from August 2022 to December 2024 before becoming head of the Foreign Service Academy.
