Dhaka saw 21 mm of rain in the 24 hours to 6am on Tuesday

The heat and humidity that has battered Bangladesh in September is likely to ease a bit from Wednesday.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast rain across the country from Wednesday.
“The rain will intensify quite a bit from tomorrow,” Meteorologist Hafizur Rahman said on Tuesday. “It may persist for three or four days.”
“The heat will ease. The temperature has already gone down a bit more than before.”
The regular weather bulletin forecast says most parts of the Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, and Sylhet divisions, and many parts of the Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh divisions may see temporary gusty winds and light to moderate rain or thundershowers in the 24 hours from 9am on Wednesday.
Some parts of the Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, and Sylhet divisions may also see moderately heavy, heavy or very heavy rain.
Generally, 1-10 mm of rain a day is considered light rain, 11-22 mm is moderate, 23-44 mm is moderately heavy, 44-88 mm is heavy, and over 88 mm is very heavy.

Over the next 24 hours from 9am on Tuesday, many areas of the Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, and some parts of the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Mymensingh divisions will see gusty winds and light to moderate rain or thunderstorms.
Some other parts of the country may also experience moderate to heavy rain, the BMD forecast says.
