Police believe the accident occurred due to dense fog on the highway in the morning

Three people, including a child, have died and five others have been injured in a three-way collision involving a truck, a microbus, and a pick-up van in Brahmanbaria’s Bijoynagar Upazila.
Khatihata Highway Police Station chief Margub Towhid said the incident took place in Budhanti union’s Bargharia area on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway around 5:30am on Wednesday.
The dead have been identified as Pavel Miah, 30, and Fazilatunnesa, 75, and 11-year-old Raisa, who were identified with single names.
They were all passengers on the microbus.
Quoting locals, the police chief said a Cumilla-bound truck collided with a Sylhet-bound microbus in the Bargharia area on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in the morning. At the same time, another pick-up van hit the two vehicles.
All three vehicles were damaged in the three-way crash. Fazilatunnesa and Raisa died on the spot while Pavel died on his way to the hospital.
