The accident occurs in Rangamati's Kawkhali Upazila

At least five people have been killed in a collision between a pickup van and an autorickshaw in Rangamati's Kawkhali Upazila.
The accident occurred around 10:15am on Saturday in Betbunia's Chairman Para, according to Md Saiful Islam, chief of Kawkhali Police Station.
The pickup was coming from Chattogram when it collided with the CNG-run autorickshaw leaving Rangamati in the Chairman Para area, according to Saiful. Five people died at the scene.
"We are making arrangements for the bodies to be sent to the hospital," he said.
However, Saiful could not immediately provide the identities of the victims.
Saikat Akbar, the resident medical officer of Rangamati General Hospital, said: "We have heard about the accident, but no injured people or bodies have been brought to the hospital yet."
