Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has embarked on his return journey to Bangladesh after attending the World Economic Forum summit in Switzerland’s Davos.
According to state news agency BSS, citing Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser Abul Kalam Azad Mazumder, Yunus and his delegation boarded an Emirates Airlines commercial flight from Zurich International Airport at 9:50pm local time on Friday, which is 2:50am on Saturday Dhaka time.
The flight is scheduled to land at Dhaka's Shahjalal International Airport at 5pm Bangladesh time on Saturday.
During his four-day visit, Yunus participated in a total of 47 events.
His engagements included meetings with four heads of state or government, discussions with four ministerial-level representatives, interactions with 10 senior officials or executives from various United Nations agencies, and dialogues with CEOs of 10 leading global companies.
He also took part in nine programmes organised by the World Economic Forum, eight media engagements, and two other events.
Yunus departed Dhaka for the summit on Jan 21.
