Khulna, July 27 (BDNEWS) - The explosives part of the Khulna Press Club President and local 'Dainik Janmabhumi' editor Humayun Kabir Balu murder case has been transferred from Speedy Trial Tribunal to Senior Special Judge's Court Wednesday.
Sources said that such situation arose as police delayed in submitting reports on whether the two arrestees had connections with the murder or not.
Following the directives of the Senior Special Judge, CID or KMP did not submit report on whether Nazu alias Khora Nazu and Jahid alias Sabuj alias SM Jahidul Islam, accused in explosives part of the murder case had connections with the murder or not.
As per provisions a case must be disposed of within a specific time after Speedy Trial Tribunal receives it.
Sources said that according to CID or KMP it would take quite a long time if the case proceedings under the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) were started after receiving the reports.
Besides the case has been shifted from Speedy Trial Tribunal to Senior Special Judge's Court to meet the legal requirements including issuance of notice against the fugitives in the dailies according to CrPC.
Earlier the explosives case was transferred from Senior Judge's Court to Speedy Trial Tribunal on July 25.
