The Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Advisor Humaiun Kobir has discussed the employment prospects of about 10,000 Bangladeshi workers in Thailand with the country's Deputy Foreign Minister Vijayawada Isarabhakdi.
The discussions were held in a bilateral meeting in the Thai capital Bangkok on Friday, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The meeting reviewed bilateral ties, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to deepen longstanding relations and expand cooperation in trade, investment, labour, and tourism.
The foreign advisor sought Thailand's continued support for Bangladesh's bid to become an ASEAN sectoral dialogue partner, with the Thai deputy foreign minister pledging continued constructive engagement.
