Control room launched for 'proper management' of sacrificial animal hides

The government has opened a control room to ensure the “proper management” of sacrificial animal hides during the forthcoming Eid-ul-Azha.

The hotline number is 01617338067, according to a media statement issued by the commerce ministry on Sunday.

Previously, an inter-ministerial meeting was held on Apr 12 to review related issues including the management of rawhide.

The meeting also decided to broadcast a message to all media outlets regarding the proper skinning of sacrificial animals, mixing a sufficient amount of salt into rawhide, and the proper management of the collected rawhide.

The control room also was planned at that time to ensure the services.

Bangladesh will celebrate Eid-ul-Azha on May 28.
