Biman flight returns to Chattogram due to 'technical glitch'

Flight BG-148, carrying 287 passengers, landed again at Chattogram airport 21 minutes after it set off from Dhaka

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight headed from Chattogram to Dhaka was forced to land again at Chattogram’s Shah Amanat International Airport 21 minutes after take-off due to a technical glitch.

Flight BG-148, carrying 287 passengers, landed at the Chattogram airport at 8:58am on Thursday.

All of the passengers landed safely, said Shah Amanat Airport spokesman Ibrahim Khalil.

Flight BG-148 set off from the UAE’s Dubai and landed at Shah Amanat International Airport around 7:15am. It set off for Dhaka carrying 287 passengers at 8:37am, Khalil said.

It then returned to the airport at 8:58am after experiencing a technical glitch.

The aircraft is currently at Bay-8 of the airport.
