The Ministry of Public Administration says an order circulating on social media that claims government offices are shifting to a three-day work week to save on power and energy is “completely fake”.
The fake notice claimed that the government was instituting eight plans to handle the current fuel crisis, including a three-day weekend, partial work from home, and online classes at educational institutions.
It has been spreading on social media platforms for about two days.
The ministry has urged citizens not to be misled by the notice.

In a notice on Thursday, the ministry said: "A fake letter was circulated on social media [on Wednesday] about a change in the schedule for government offices and the opening of offices for 03 (days) a week to save electricity and energy.
“No such letter has been issued by the public administration ministry. The ministry has requested that no one be misled in this regard,” it added.
