A goodbye that came too early: A glimpse of Annisul Huq's life as mayor in picture

If death had not come too soon, Annisul Huq could have gone down in history as the most successful mayor of the Dhaka North​ City Corporation.

Just two years into the job, he brought in a lot of changes in this overpopulated and trouble-infested city.

Initially, he was known as a TV presenter to the people as he had a riveting presentation skill.

In his later years, his skills in business started to show.

He headed the apex trade body FBCCI after helming BGMEA.

He had gained the people's confidence and support, but his life was cut short by a disease with which he fought for the around four months and lost on Thursday.
