MyTV Chairman Nasir Uddin arrested

He is tied to a murder case filed at Jatrabari Police Station

Police have arrested Nasir Uddin Sathi, chairman and managing director of private television station MyTV.

On Sunday, Dhaka Metropolitan Police spokesperson Talebur Rahman said police detained him over a murder case filed at Jatrabari Police Station.

DMP Joint Commissioner (South) Nasirul Islam said a team of detectives arrested Sathi from his Gulshan residence.

Sathi is a suspect in a murder case filed with Jatrabari police during the Anti-discrimination Student Movement, he added.

The private television channel MyTV, owned by VM International Limited, has been broadcasting since 2010.
