Two girls aged around 10 years have drowned while taking a holy dip during the Hindu festival of Ganga Snan in Chattogram.
The girls, Khushi Rani Jaldas and Kishori Bala Jaldas, were from the South Jaldapara neighburhood of Kumira in Sitakunda Upazila.
They went to the Kumira Ghat pier area on the coast of the Bay of Bengal with their families and other devotees for the festival on Sunday afternoon.
