The Bangladesh Embassy in Bahrain has advised expatriates to stay cautious amid the ongoing Middle East conflict.

On Thursday, the embassy said in a notice that the security situation in several Middle Eastern countries has recently become tense, making it necessary for Bangladeshi nationals living in Bahrain to exercise “maximum caution”.

It asked everyone to refrain from recording videos or taking photographs of any military activity, security operations or sensitive incidents.

The notice said capturing images or videos of missile or drone interception in the sky, attacks on different installations, military operations, military bases, movement of military vehicles or other sensitive sites is prohibited under Bahraini law.

The embassy warned that strict legal action may be taken against anyone involved in such activities.

It also advised expatriates not to share such footage on social media, broadcast it live or circulate it through any other platform.

Bangladeshi nationals have also been asked to follow instructions issued by local authorities during any emergency and contact the embassy if assistance is required.
