The number has gone up by 1.54 percent in a year

The Election Commission has once again released the update of the voter list on National Voters Day.
Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin said that the updated list puts the voter count in Bangladesh at 123,732,274.
He revealed the updated count at the inaugural ceremony of National Voters Day in Dhaka’s Agargaon on Sunday.
EC officials said that on Mar 2, 2024, the total number of voters stood at 121,850,160. At the end of the year, another 1,833,352 more people were added. In addition, another 48,762 people were added during the verification and selection process of the Revising Authority.
Of the total voters in the country, 63,361,615 are men, 6,369,665 are women, and 994 are of the third gender.
Overall, the number of voters has increased by 1.54 percent in one year.
The EC held a procession in front of the Election Building on Sunday to mark National Voters Day. There, CEC Nasir said: "The commission is committed to a free, fair, impartial and acceptable election."
The voter list update process began on Jan 20, ahead of the 13th national parliamentary election. Information on more than 5 million people has been collected. The final number of voters for the upcoming general election will be determined by June, after adding new voters and excluding those who have died.
