Two officials of Dhaka city corporations, who were removed from their duties during Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s inspection of sacrificial animal waste removal in Dhaka the day after Eid-ul-Azha, have been temporarily suspended.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications placing both officials under temporary suspension on Monday, citing allegations of misconduct.

The suspended officials are Regional Executive Officer Md Sadekur Rahman of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Regional Executive Officer Quazi Saleh Mustanzir of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

They were withdrawn from their posts on the prime minister’s instructions over alleged negligence in waste management and were attached to the Ministry of Public Administration.
