PM Tarique calls on global partners for $2bn aid amid mounting energy supply strain

He says the global energy crisis has shown that no country can resolve such challenges alone

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has sought $2 billion in assistance from development partners to address Bangladesh’s ongoing energy supply crunch triggered by the Iran war.

Speaking at the Asia Zero Emission Community (AZEC) Plus online summit on Wednesday, he highlighted global instability and stressed that no country can resolve such crises alone.
