Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has unveiled a commemorative postage stamp marking the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The stamp was presented at the Prime Minister’s Office at the Parliament Secretariat on Thursday morning, his Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman said.

The commemorative set includes a Tk 10 postage stamp, a Tk 50 souvenir sheet with an envelope, and a Tk 5 data card.

A special seal was also used to mark the occasion of the stamp’s release.

Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam, Secretary Bilkis Jahan Rimi, and Additional Director General of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications SM Harunur Rashid were present at the event.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is set to kick off tonight at 12:00am with opening ceremonies. This year’s tournament is being jointly hosted by the countries United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Opening events will take place in Mexico City, Toronto, and Los Angeles.
