The four-day deputy commissioners’ (DC) conference is scheduled to begin in Dhaka on Sunday, bringing together officials from across the country for discussions with top state authorities.

The “Deputy Commissioners’ Conference 2026” will continue until May 6 at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium, the Department of Information said in a notice on Friday.

A press briefing on the overall arrangements has been scheduled for Saturday at 3:20pm at the Cabinet Division in Bangladesh Secretariat.

The notice says a total of 34 working sessions will take place during the conference.

Deputy administrators from across the country take part in the annual event, which serves as a direct platform for coordination between the government and field administration.

The conference also offers DCs the opportunity to meet and exchange views with the president, prime minister and the chief justice.
