The power station officials on Wednesday said around 8am those three units stopped generating electricity as a result of which 264MW less power was supplied to the National Grid.
Power station’s Engineer Md Yakub told bdnews24.com that in the morning 132-KV line tripped at the switch yard’s substation.
“As a result Unit-2 of 64MW capacity, Unit-3 of 150MW capacity and 50MW gas engine unit shut down at the same time.”
The in-house engineers are trying to resume power generation by the units as soon as possible by repairing the damage.
