Four members of a family from Cox’s Bazar have died after an air conditioner explosion at a rented flat in Dhaka

The air conditioner explosion in the Bashundhara residential area has claimed its fourth and final victim.
Raksi Akhter, 20, died early on Sunday while undergoing treatment at the Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute, said Bachchu Mia, chief of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Outpost.
She died at 5:05am, he said, citing doctors. She had suffered burns on 55 percent of her body.
Four members of a family were burnt badly on Monday evening when an explosion occurred at a ground floor flat in Dhaka’s Bashundhara residential area.
The family had come to Dhaka from Cox’s Bazar’s Moheshkhali so that Raksi could seek treatment for a brain tumour at Evercare Hospital.
Raksi’s son, 3-year-old Ayan, died on Wednesday. Her sister, 18-year-old Futu Akhter, died on Thursday. Her father, Abdul Mannan, died on Saturday.
