Police have recovered the body of a policeman hanging with a noose around his neck inside the Darshana Joynagar Checkpost in Chuadanga. Police believe he died by suicide.
The body was found when his colleagues saw it through the window of his bedroom around 8:30am, said Chuadanga Police Superintendent Khandaker Golam Mowla.
The policeman was identified as Shamim Hossain, 31, hailing from Jhutiadanga village in Kushtia’s Mirpur. He was identified as constable No. 532. and worked at the immigration department.
