1971 war veterans take out victory parade in Kishoreganj after Hasan Ali’s death sentence for genocide

Kishoreganj Muktijoddha Sangsad has paraded down the streets of the town celebrating the death sentence of Razakar commander Syed Hasan Ali who committed crimes against humanity during the Liberation War.

The International Crimes Tribunal on Tuesday handed down maximum punishment for the absconding Pakistani collaborator for killing, genocide, abduction, and looting in Kishoreganj during 1971.

Son of a local Peace Committee leader, Hasan Ali was the Razakar commander of Tarail Thana of Kishoreganj during the war.

Right after the verdict, Muktijoddha Sangsad of Kishoreganj unit took out the victory march.

The war veterans demanded of the government to immediately capture Hasan Ali and execute the sentence.

Sweets were distributed in celebration after the march.

Local Muktijoddha Sangsad Commander Md Asad Ullah delivered a short speech in front of the organisation’s office.
