Schoolgirl killed as house wall collapses after heavy rain in Narsingdi

The victim dies on the spot

A first-grader has died after the wall of an abandoned mud house next to her residence collapsed due to heavy rain in Narsingdi’s Raipura Upazila.

Tanjhuma, identified by a single name, and the daughter of Apel Mia of Marjal Union, died on the spot around 12:30pm on Wednesday, said Raipura Police chief Md Mojibur Rahman.

Police said they will take necessary measures after talking to her father, who was in Cox's Bazar during the accident.
