Wave of explosions reverberate over Tel Aviv

Iranian missiles triggered a series of explosions across Tel Aviv on Friday, The Guardian reports.

Israel’s emergency services say they visited several damaged sites but reported no injuries.

Firefighters worked to contain a blaze at a residential building near the commercial hub, while residents of a building on the outskirts of the city were evacuated after a projectile struck the structure.

The explosions came after Israel launched massive strikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut, vowing retaliation against Hezbollah, which joined the conflict on Monday.

Iran’s state broadcaster said Tehran had fired missiles “at targets in the heart of Tel Aviv,” after Israel’s military said late Thursday it was working to intercept incoming Iranian missiles.
