Dhaka, Aug 7 (BDNEWS) – Except coach Diego Andres Cruciani, Bangladesh U-23 national football team left Dhaka for Bangkok by a Thai Airways flight Monday to play a practice match there ahead of the South Asian (SA) Games beginning on August 18 in Colombo.
The Bangladesh team led by Firoz Mahmud Titu will play the lone practice match on August 9 before leaving Bangkok for Colombo on August 11.
Cruciani's departure was deferred due to visa difficulty and he is expected to leave here for Bangkok Tuesday. However, manager Amirul Islam Babu accompanied the team.
Bangladesh will open their campaign against Nepal on August 14, take on Afghanistan on August 16 and play the group last match against India on August 19.
