Rajshahi, Nov 4 (BDNEWS) – Rajshahi city BNP president and writer Salahuddin Baby passed away Thursday night at the age of 48.
A syndicate member of Rajshahi University Salahuddin Baby had been under treatment at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital after he suffered a cardiac arrest recently. He is survived by his lone daughter and wife.
His namaj-e-janaza was held twice - once at Saheb Bazar Baro Rasta at 2pm while the other at Mohishbatan Graveyard area at 4 pm.
During the namaz-e-janaza people from all walks of life, including top politicians of the city, were present there to pay their homage to the deceased.
Leaders of different political parities and socio-cultural organisations expressed deep condolences at his death.
Post and telecommunication minister Barrister M Aminul Haque, City Corporation mayor Mizanur Rahman Minu, workers Party politburo member Fazle Hossain Badsha, leaders of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) and Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) expressed deep shock at the death of young politician and writer Salauddin Baby.
