A letter signed by party chief HM Ershad on Monday said Solaiman had dubbed secretary general Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu “unwanted” and also led the burning of his effigy in clear violation of party regulations.
It said the expulsion order would become effective soon.
Solaiman, a former chief of JP’s Chittagong metropolitan unit, is well known as a supporter of the party’s former secretary general Ruhul Amin Howlader.
