BNP names assistant organising secretaries 

The BNP has announced the names of 20 assistant organising secretaries for its Central Executive Committee nearly a month after its National Council.

Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi read out the list approved by party chairperson Khaleda Zia at its Naya Paltan headquarters in Dhakaon Monday.   

Those who made it to the committee were all new faces except two - Abdus Salam Azad and Abdul Momen Takuldar Khoka.  

The party has so far named 42 for the position of secretary general, senior joint secretary general, joint secretary general, treasurer, organising secretary and assistant organising secretary.

Retired colonel Anwarul Azim has been nominated the Organising Secretary of the BNP’s Comilla unit.

The party’s new deputy organising secretaries are Abdus Salam Azad in Dhaka, Mahabubur Rahman Shamim and Abul Hashem Bakkar in Chittagong, and Abdul Momin Talukder Khoka and Shahin Showkat in Rajshahi.

Anindra Islam Amit and Jayanta Kundu in Khulna, Akhan Quddus and Mahbubul Haque Nannu in Barisal, and Dildar Hossain Selim and Kalim Uddin Milon in Sylhet have also been nominated for the post.

Shamsuzzaman and Syed Jahangir Hossain in Rangpur, Moshtak Miah and Abdul Awal Khan in Comilla, Shariful Alam and Wares Ali Mamun in Mymensingh, and Ali Newaj Mahmud Khaiyam and Selimuddin Selim in Faridpur were named as the deputies.
