Dhaka, Sept 4 (BDNEWS) – Travelling 12 kilometres way on foot with a procession, an opposition Awami League leader appeared before a district court wearing shroud Sunday.
The AL leader Dr Mizanul Haque appeared before the Kishoreganj district court over a case filed by Karimganj police against 40 people, including Haque, following a clash between AL and ruling BNP on February 7, 2005. AL activist Nabi Hossain was killed in the clash.
Magistrate of the court Ashfaqul Amin Mukut granted bail to 40 people, including Dr Mizan.
Earlier, 33 chargesheeted accused, including Dr Mizan, got their bail from the High Court.
