The BNP has nominated four leaders as members of its National Standing Committee, the party's highest policymaking forum.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, Amanullah Aman, Farhad Halim and Ismail Jabiullah were named as new members, according to a media statement issued by party Assistant Office Secretary Munir Hossain on Saturday.
The statement said the appointments were made “to enhance organisational dynamism” and in line with party decisions.
BNP expressed hope that the four leaders would contribute “through their intellect and prudence” to the committee’s deliberations, helping shape decisions in the interest of both the party and the people.
The Standing Committee serves as the BNP’s top forum for policy and strategy, guiding the party’s positions on national issues.
