Fuel oil now flows by pipeline from Chattogram

Instead of being transported by river from Chattogram, fuel oil now comes through a pipeline to Narayanganj's Fatullah, where it is stored at the Petroleum Transmission Company’s Receiving Terminal-2. From there, the oil is distributed to Dhaka and nearby districts.

Although pipeline deliveries have begun, fuel oil is still transported by river from Patenga in Chattogram to the Jamuna Oil and Meghna Petroleum depots in Narayanganj's Fatullah. Photo: Abdullah al Momin
