Rain signals monsoon’s arrival

Parts of the country have been going under a spell of rain in the final week of the Bengali summer month of Jaishtha, signalling the arrival of the monsoon season. The Bangladesh Meteorological Department recorded 30mm of rainfall in Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon.
