On the eve of Aug 15, the anniversary of independence leader Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s assassination, security officers intensified security in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi 32. A few supporters arrived on Friday morning, but anti-Awami League groups prevented them from approaching Bangabandhu’s residence. Some faced assault and harassment.
