Nipa Palm fruit in Dhaka

In the Sundarbans, the Nipa Palm, locally known as the Golpata tree, produces a fruit called Gol Fol. The fruit hangs like a palm and has a date-like shell inside, which is both delicious and nutritious. Its juice and jaggery are in demand among the locals.
