Minhajul, a former Bangladesh captain, was a selector for the national team.
BCB President Nazmul Hassan told journalists about the reconstitution of the three-member selection panel at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Wednesday.
On Sunday, the BCB approved a two-stage selection process in which the core 'selection panel', led by a chief selector, would be joined by the coach, the manager and the chief of cricket operations committee in the 'selection committee'.
Upset with BCB's decision to abandon the 'conventional and proven' way of picking players, Faruque Ahmed, chief selector of the previous committee, said he would step down.
Another former national team captain, Habibul Bashar and Sajjad Ahmed, will join Minhajul in the selection panel.
Habibul was removed from the selection committee and put in charge of selecting players for the women's team in the board meeting on Sunday.
