Dhaka, April 1 (bdnews24.com) – The Bangladesh Cricket Board on Wednesday handed over a cheque for Tk 5 lakh to the family of late national cricketer Manzarul Islam Rana in Khulna.
Kazi Monirul Islam, the father of the late Rana, received the cheque from BCB directors Syed Zahid Hossain, Shahidul Islam, acting CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury and BCB councillor Kazi Shamim Ahsan.
The BCB had earlier declared the Grameenphone Tri-Nation Cup opening match between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe held on January 10 this year as a benefit game for the former all-rounder.
