Dhaka University Proctor Saifuddin Ahmed resigns

Saifuddin Ahmed, assistant professor of the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies, has resigned from his post as Dhaka University proctor.

He was appointed to the post on Aug 28, 2024, after the fall of the Awami League government.

Saifuddin said on Sunday afternoon that he had sent his resignation letter to the vice chancellor.

“I have fulfilled the duties of proctor for the past 20 months,” he said. “Now, things have come into greater balance, so I want to give more time to my family. I think whoever comes next will do an even better job.”
