The decision was made at a meeting between acting Vice Chancellor Mohammad Rafiqul Alam and faculty deans and department chairmen on Thursday.
CUET Public Relations Officer Fazlur Rahman said all residential halls would be opened on May 2.
He said a ban on meetings, rallies and processions on the campus would remain in place ‘until further order’.
All students have been asked to carry identity cards while on the campus.
The authorities closed the institution on Apr 7 amid student protests following the murder of a fourth-year student of the Architecture Department.
