Daffodil International University (DIU) and the Daffodil Family have opened applications for the Teaching Apprenticeship Fellowship (TAF) 2026 and Apprenticeship Programme 2026, aimed at preparing young people for careers in academia, research, and professional fields.

According to a media statement on Monday, the programmes have supported hundreds of participants over the past decade in building careers in teaching, research, administration, human resources, marketing, information technology, business development, and other sectors.

Md Sabur Khan, chairman of the Board of Trustees of DIU and chairman of the Daffodil Family, said the initiatives are designed to develop future leaders, innovators, and researchers rather than simply job seekers.

The programmes have been updated to reflect the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI), technological change, and evolving workplace demands.

Participants will receive practical experience in teaching, research, student mentoring, academic leadership, business operations, entrepreneurship, and AI-enabled practices.

New features this year include AI-based assessment, leadership observation, mentor-guided development, career simulations, weekly challenges, and stronger industry-academia collaboration.

Applicants will be evaluated on performance, leadership potential, responsibility, ethical values, innovation, and overall contribution, alongside training outcomes, according to the statement.

The programmes are open to final-semester university students, recent graduates, young professionals, aspiring educators and researchers, entrepreneurs, and those interested in technology and artificial intelligence.

Candidates will be shortlisted based on academic background, skills, leadership experience, and career aspirations before taking part in assessments, presentations, and viva examinations.

TAF participants will have opportunities to gain teaching experience, engage in research and publications, mentor students, work with AI-enabled education practices, explore Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and contribute to capstone and micro-credential development initiatives.
