International Standard University (ISU) has held a webinar “Teaching, Research, and Time: Turning Overwhelm into Opportunity”, focusing on ways academic pressures can be transformed into productive outcomes.

It took place on Tuesday at 8:30pm, with faculty members, deans and academic officials from different departments participating, according to a media statement.

“Such initiatives will continue as part of ISU’s ongoing efforts to enhance higher education standards and strengthen the professional capacity of its faculty members,” it read.

Ahmed Mustafa, professor of Biological Sciences at Purdue University, United States, and director of the Life Sciences Resource Center, delivered the keynote presentation.

He discussed practical strategies for balancing teaching and research responsibilities, prioritising tasks effectively, and turning professional challenges into opportunities for growth and productivity.

Among others present were ISU Treasurer Prof HTM Quader Newaz; Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Prof Mohammad Abul Kasem; IQAC Director Md Ekramul Hoque; Prof Md Masudur Rahman; Registrar Md Faizullah Kawshik.

The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, where participants actively engaged with the speaker.
