A mobile court in Chittagong has seized 80,000 sacks of rice weighing around 4,000 tonnes stashed away illegally at a warehouse.

Masud and Brothers had stockpiled the rice at the warehouse of Ahmed Trading at Sagarika in the port city for a long time, Executive Magistrate Syed Morad Ali, who headed the court on Thursday, told bdnews24.com.
They violated a ban on the storing of the food grain for more than a month, he added.
The court fined Mohammad Tareque, the manager of the warehouse, Tk 50,000 besides seizing the rice, the magistrate said.
