The AAT is the top professional certification body for vocational accountancy in the UK. The British Council will manage the exams for the course.

The course was officially announced at a British Council press conference on Tuesday.

British Council Deputy Director Andrew Newton highlighted Bangladesh’s economic growth and said it had the potential to become one of the largest in the world. The world famous AAT Qualification will play an important role in creating the skilled workforce and leadership necessary for such an economy, he added.

“The AAT Qualification is a massive help in developing a career in accounting and finance,” said AAT Course Leader Muktadir Rahman. “It will teach students financial skills and professionalism under the supervision of specialist instructors.”

“We are delighted to be able to offer this internationally recognised and accepted qualification and create opportunities for students to stay one step ahead in their professions,” said ACE CEO Samanzar S Khan.
