One Idris Ali filed the GD at Gulshan Police Station on Saturday night, saying some people spoke to Matin around 4pm and then he got on a microbus with them in front of the school’s Gulshan branch, Inspector Salauddin Miah told bdnews24.com.
Matin was unreachable on his mobile phone since the vehicle had left, Idris said in the GD.
“Police immediately began investigating the scene on being informed,” the inspector said earlier.
The education ministry in November ordered the school to close down on charges of harbouring militancy and inspiring extremism.
The Supreme Court later ordered that the school reopen with a new board of directors composed of the Dhaka divisional commissioner as its chair and military officials as board members.
