Dhaka, March 5 (BDNEWS) – Some healthcare institutions of Thailand and Singapore are offering prompt services through their regional offices and agents in Dhaka for better treatment of Bangladeshi patients.
Some local agents of the hospitals at the Dhaka Travel Mart at a city hotel are also offering the world-class medical services for serious patients from those hospitals.
On the second day of the Mart Saturday, while talking to them they said people in the country are yet to be well informed about the services and facilities of the medical institutions.
"A patient can easily know the estimated cost of his/her treatment in those hospitals at free of cost by sending case history and other related test reports."
Patients would also be facilitated by their instant services, including appointment with specialists, fastest travel arrangement and visa applications; hotels and apartment services, airport transfer and direct admissions, and medical evaluation from the health institutions, they said.
Mostafizur Rahman, a local staff of Parkway Healthcare Information Centre for Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore, said patients who are suffering from serious diseases; and treatment of those are not available in the country may avail the facilities in the hospitals.
According to him, the travel mart contributes a lot in informing the people about their services.
As they are pioneer in cancer detection and treatment, and liver transplantation, local patients may knock, he said.
Samsuddin Ahmed, a local representative of Bangkok Hospital, said the hospital is a world-class tertiary level healthcare institution and also popular for treatment of heart and kidney diseases.
Asad Karim Khan Priyo, another coordinator of Bangkok Pattaya Hospital, said though the country's medical services are yet to be attained international standard and serious patients often face mistreatment due to unavailability of apt doctors for apt treatment, foreign hospitals could meet the requirement of the serious patients.
